We have Pro Tools at school but as of yet, no classes that offer its teaching  I downloaded PT from their website, plugged my laptop into an Mbox but it asks for the serial oh well. i use Logic now and it's great. Really wish I could use PT though!

You cannot "crack" protools for it to work without digidesighn hardware.
The reason for this is because the Mbox is a ADDA converter which translates analogue audio into digital.
without it=no audio. not even playback.
normal soundcards cannot process this audio data fast enough. certainly not 16+ channels of it.
aswell as high quality audio it has to deal with real time effects processes.
so if it was cracked it would be pointless.

DEAR CHIMAKO, I think the fact that this is a DMG file indicates that this is a Mac version.
Also -t it is in the category "Applications > Mac", though I myself didn't notice until too late.
Anyone got a PC version? I have an Mbox, so I'm very keen.
DEAR PRIEST85 - firstly, the large green word "Download" is an advert - you just click on 'Download this torrent' beneath it to download the torrent file.
It is a torrent file, to download the app you will need to download and install a special program, I use uTorrent, others like bitTorrent etc
Once you have done this you open the Torrent with this Torrent app, and the file will download.
You only need to download the app once, then you can share large amounts of data very easily, its worth doing.
Be aware, though, of what has already been said - this Protools is the Mac version, and Protools software only works with Protools hardware (though apparently there is now a way around this, see above)
And - particularly if you are actually a Priest - remember that internet piracy is the thin end of the wedge. Within a few weeks you'll be pillaging on the high seas off the coast of Africa or holding up a bank with a water pistol. Is this what you want? x

When describing how to download torrent files I forgot to mention that when you have downloaded them you need to make sure you upload as much as you download - all you have to do is leave the file running until the 'ratio' column reaches 100%.
You don't NEED to do this on a site that doesn't monitor your ratio, but its rude to take more than you put in, if everyone just took without uploading nothing would download (the nature of Torrents is that we're not downloading them from one place, but from each other, you're sharing the bits of the file you have downloaded even before you have downloaded the whole file!)

Hey guys, i installed PT and it installed fine. But when i try to open the application it has an error message, says something about authorization. Not really sure why. I assume it has something to do with the digidesign registration, tried to do it but i have no the registration id and the released code?
Really need some help to get it installed. please

jesterz I agree completely. Some people do not realise that without seeding back after downloading, torrents frequently die a quick death. I call those downloaders "Hit and Run" freeloaders. I saw a torrent dead within a month due to this, a real pity for everyone. For the torrents with not many seeds I try to get multiple ratio on that torrent. I'm still seeding a file on and off from 3 years ago to keep it alive. Finally some seeders.
